Career tracks delineate the 'what,' while our values and work agreements provide the framework for the 'how.' It is the collective responsibility of each and every team member to ensure that these values are not just words on a page but guiding principles that are considered in every decision we make, every move we execute, and every interaction we have. By intentionally living out these values in our day-to-day operations, we create a culture of excellence, collaboration, and integrity that propels us toward our long-term goals.
Adherence to our values and work agreements is not just encouraged but essential, serving as our chosen pathway to high performance. Therefore, our career ladders are being launched in conjunction with this document, which explicitly declares our values and work agreements. Recognition for performance is inextricably linked to compliance with these guiding principles.
Intapp Celeste Values
- Olympian’s Work Ethic: Changing the world is not easy and takes a lot of time and effort. We work longer, harder, and smarter, not just two out of three. We will take every opportunity to work as hard as we can for as long as we can and be smarter than anyone else on the field. We do it together as one team where all members are actively involved in the company and the product.
- Curiosity & Context: As a team, we are not just checking off tasks in a story but building a product. In order to build a product, we need to understand why we are creating a certain feature or fixing a bug. We should all aim to understand our clients, the work they do, and why they may want something. It is having that context that will allow us to make certain decisions. If we don’t have that context, we should try to gain that insight and context. Once obtained, we should act with common sense as it relates to our clients.
- Responsibility: In every action we take, we are accountable to ourselves, our teammates, and our customers. We own our tasks from start to finish and step up to fill gaps when we see them. Honoring our commitments and being punctual are non-negotiable aspects of this value. Whether it's meeting deadlines or showing up for a team meeting, being on time demonstrates respect for others' time and effort. Responsibility isn't just about completing our own work; it's also about proactively identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement and taking the initiative to address them. This level of ownership ensures that we consistently deliver high-quality outcomes while supporting the organization's overall health and growth.
- Build for the Long-term: At our core, we are visionaries who are building for the long haul. While the allure of quick wins and immediate gratification is ever-present, we are committed to making decisions that contribute to our enduring success. Sacrificing short-term gains for the long-term good is not just an option; it's our operational mantra. This future-focused mindset encourages us to invest in sustainable practices, nurture lasting relationships, and develop products that stand the test of time.
- Feedback-Driven: Our team is powered by a culture of continuous improvement. We actively seek and give feedback at every opportunity, emphasizing its role as a catalyst for growth. However, feedback is a two-way street; it must be delivered with kindness and received without ego. In this supportive atmosphere, we identify our strengths and focus on areas for improvement. By making feedback an integral part of our workflow, we enhance both personal and organizational effectiveness.
- Customers are partners: Our customers are more than just consumers; they are essential collaborators in our journey. We don't just sell to them; we work with them as if they are part of our team. This relationship-based approach enables us to better understand their needs, concerns, and aspirations. By aligning our goals with those of our customers, we create symbiotic partnerships that yield mutual benefit and long-lasting success.
- No bad ideas: We cultivate an environment where creativity and innovation flourish, free from the fear of judgment or ridicule. When it comes to ideation, all contributions are valued, and every voice is heard. By encouraging an open exchange of ideas, we unlock our collective imagination, turning even the most unconventional thoughts into possible solutions. This unwavering commitment to brainstorming enriches our work and keeps us at the forefront of innovation.
- Be Kind: Kindness is more than a virtue; it's an operational principle. We approach each interaction, whether with teammates, customers, or partners, with kindness and the assumption that everyone is doing their best. This creates a culture of empathy and understanding, paving the way for constructive dialogues and meaningful connections. In a world where you can be anything, we choose to be kind because kindness elevates the human experience and fosters a positive, productive workplace.
Work Agreements
- Slack: Effective communication is key to our success as a small but growing remote company with a distributed team. We primarily use Slack for our day-to-day interactions. To ensure smooth operations, we expect all team members to be actively online and responsive on Slack during working hours. If you have appointments or need to step away, kindly inform your colleagues in advance. This helps in planning and maintaining team cohesion. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
- Meetings: We try to avoid unnecessary meetings, but in the case where you're needed in a meeting, please try to plan accordingly and ensure that you show up on time. We try to keep meetings short, but if people show up late wastes everyone else’s time.
- Ownership: Everyone here has a ton of experience; let’s use that and not hold it back but enable everyone to make decisions and move the ball forward. Seek feedback when necessary, but no action is worse than the wrong action. If you feel confident and have gotten the feedback you need, please proceed. You do not need to wait for approval.
